Subject of this paper is the two-way link between the economic behavior of the family and the labor market processes. The analysis begins with the assumption that the gender division of labor is the economic foundation of the family institution. The article traces the impact of this form of economic organization on the status of women and men in the labor market. It clarifies the way in which some quantitative and structural changes in the market weaken the traditional division of labor between spouses, reduce their economic interdependence, and ultimately call into question the very future of the family institution.

The descriptive analysis was applied to investigate the credit dynamics as well as the factors for credit supply and demand in the EU member states in Central and Eastern Europe, being outside the Eurozone – Bulgaria, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Hungary and the Czech Republic in the period 2008-2012. The analysis has taken into consideration the differences among these seven member states, but the economic activity seems to be the key aspect for the demand of credits as well as for the dynamics of crediting. It has an impact on the bank balances through the dynamics of unserved credits, and hence on the behaviour of commercial banks, respectively - the supply of credits.

The study points out the exchange-rate regimes applicable in the seven derogation countries in Central and Eastern Europe, and the link of the regime adopted by them and their macroeconomic performance in the period 2003-2012. A review is presented of the currency regimes in these countries, highlighting the theoretical concepts on the macroeconomic consequences from the choice of a relevant regime. The results of the author's research on the inflation, economic growth, trade and the international competitiveness of the investigated countries are revealed.

The aim of this work is to specify, accept or reject a priori assumption of a positive synergy in economic cluster development, to propose а quantitative assessment of synergy and а description of the interaction process among enterprises in the cluster. There are presented arguments in support of the assumption that the cluster can be considered as an economic system. The synergy effects are summarized and described as superadditive and subadditive functions of expenses and revenues. The interaction process among enterprises in the cluster is described by a thermodynamic approach to the costs analysis of the economic systems development and an introduced condition for positive synergy realization. As a quantitative measure of synergy effect is used the concept of entropy. The proposed experimental solution demonstrates the application of presented approach, its possible analytical interpretations and predictability potential for positive or negative synergy realization.

The article studies the pattern of changes within the organization in view of the adaptation potential of the individual in the group and deals with methods and approaches of aligning the behaviour of the individual and the group. The relationship „potential – aims of the change – conformity assessment”, and the possible alternatives are monitored. The reaction and conduct types of the person in case of changes in the organization are emphasized.

This is a case study of a „classical” issue on the interpretation of money as a special kind of commodity, „balancing” and measuring the value of all the other commodities by its own value. The analysis is based on two main lines. The first line deals with the reasons of the doubts of the representatives of the Austrian School on the necessity to introduce a private market alternative to the „state” money „imposed” by the administration. The second line covers the issue whether and how much the „demonetization” of the precious metals in the 1970-ies as a „classical” symbol of money under the conditions of currency – financial crises, has been replaced now convincing enough by the contemporary circulation of paper money. Very interesting, although not indisputable views on a reform in the global currency are focused, that have been suggested by leading bankers and distinguished scientists.

Recently a book by Assoc. D. and Assoc. Naydenova, the result of their planning project at the Institute of Economic Research at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, which is devoted to the actual problem of human capital management in the company. The main focus of the work is the determination of the dynamics and regularities of the relationship between the socio-anthropological determinism of the process of human capital management in the firm and the applied motivational techniques for the realization of successful firm organization and effective firm management. The discursiveness and complexity of this topical interdisciplinary issue, which still has few authors in Bulgaria, is perceived as a scientific challenge by Assoc. Milanova and Assoc. Naydenova. This makes their book interesting, readable and provocative. It does not burden the reader, but on the contrary, delicately orients him in the problems and options for their solution, while appealing for reflection and building one's own position.
